As most of my costumer friends know, the fastest way to find the exact center of your fabric is to lay it carefully out on the floor or table, and go away.

When you return, your cat will be sitting in the exact center.

This beautiful, hand dyed Shibouri (by Deborah J. Hamouris of Ninshibar!) was, at best, going to be a challenge to cut. For one thing, I was having a difficult time even WANTING to slice into the beautiful patterns.

I laid it out, and left to consider the best of my options. .... Although I have better shots of him, I think this pic shows how difficult it was for Oscar to perform his task....I think he got dizzy. : )

These wings were created at Adult Camp Winnarainbow for their costume collection. Larnie designed them, DJ dyed the fabric, and she & Odille sewed it onto the bamboo frame. Much fun was had by all!
