The artist, Deborah J. Hamouris, takes her inspiration from the elements of the natural and magical world, ranging from the moods of the weather
to the turning cycles of the seasons.

Each piece is hand dyed using the traditional Japanese textile craft of shibori.

The art of shibori, one of the oldest techniques for creating beautiful patterns on cloth, is the Japanese grandmother of American tie-dyeing. Ninshibar! primarily creates her work using the style known as arashi shibori.
